Dr Sunil Kappagantula
I recently graduated with a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences from Cambridge University. The focus of my research was to investigate the role of gangliosides and ganglioside metabolising enzyme on plasma membrane in promoting axon regeneration after acute injuries.
My M.Phil research at NIMHANS was done with Prof. Raju and focused on effect of cerebrospinal fluid from ALS patients on NSC-34 cells with or without astrocytic monolayer.
I am currently working as a Healthcare Analyst with a pharmaceutical business intelligence and consulting firm in the city of London. In my current role, I leverage my academic experiences to help with research and business problems that some of the biggest pharmaceutical and biotech firms in the world might have.
Previous affiliations:
Cambridge Centre for Brain Repair, University of Cambridge - http://www.brc.cam.ac.uk/
Department of Neurophysiology, NIMHANS - http://nphy.weebly.com/
